Joan Mora, new chairman of the Consorci per al Tractament de Residus Sòlids Urbans del Maresme
This afternoon, the new general board of the Consorci per al Tractament de Residus Sòlids Urbans del Maresme has been formed by the new members of the 28 towns that belong to the organization, the Consell Comarcal del Maresme (Maresme district Council), and the Diputació de Barcelona.
In this plenary session, the mayor of Mataró, Joan Mora, has been appointed the new chairman of the Consorci per al Tractament de Residus Sòlids Urbans del Maresme, and the new members of the Permanent Commission of the consortium have been appointed, formed by the chairman, six representatives of the towns, three representatives of the Diputació de Barcelona, and the representative of the Consell Comarcal del Maresme.
The Consorci chairs the Centre Integral de Valorització de Residus del Maresme, located in Mataró, and its objective is to give a comprehensive solution to the need to manage the municipal waste generated in the member towns.
